Deja Babineaux is an attorney at Cochran Texas with roots in Louisiana, where her passion for justice and advocacy first took shape. As a member of the firm’s Mass Tort team, she represents individuals and families harmed by dangerous products, defective drugs, and corporate misconduct, bringing both legal rigor and a genuine commitment to her clients’ stories to every case she handles.
Before joining Cochran Texas, Deja built a well-rounded foundation in civil litigation. As a Licensed Claims Adjuster, she analyzed liability, causation, damages, and insurance coverage on personal injury claims. She now applies these skills directly to complex mass tort litigation. She also served as a student mediator, facilitating dispute resolution and drafting settlement agreements, giving her early insight into the practical and human dimensions of legal advocacy.

Her scholarly work reflects this conviction: her published article in the Journal of Race, Gender & Poverty, “Choking on Injustice: Louisiana v.
